Things Got Real Ugly At This Subway Location

According to an arrest report obtained by Law & Crime, 33-year-old Subway manager James Anthony Morris Jr. was mopping the floor when a 10-year-old girl accidentally stepped on the wet area. After the child’s mother told her to apologize, Morris allegedly grabbed the girl by the hand, called her parents “trash and terrible people,” and dragged her into a back room.

According to the arrest report, another Subway employee told police they witnessed Morris pulling the girl away and heard the ensuing “commotion,” describing the manager’s actions as “weird.” And, the young girl later told police that she was terrified and thought she was being kidnapped.

It Got Deeper At The Sub Shop

The child’s mother said she originally thought the manager was joking. However, she started to panic when Morris shut the door and locked the little girl behind it. She claims he pushed the door closed as she tried to get her daughter back, leading to a struggle. After screaming for help, she managed to force the door open and flee the restaurant with her daughter. Additionally, the young girl was reportedly trapped in the back room for roughly two minutes before being rescued. Morris was arrested shortly after and is now facing serious, legal consequences.

Morris declined to comment to police and was charged with false imprisonment of a child under 13. He was booked into jail but later released on a $5,000 bond, according to reports.

Heartbreaking Trend In Florida

Florida has been facing a troubling increase in disturbing child abuse cases lately, and the latest incident out of Tallahassee is truly heartbreaking. On June 23, police responded to reports of a 1-year-old boy, German, who was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the hospital despite lifesaving efforts. During the investigation, authorities uncovered clear signs of foul play.

Christopher Young, who was watching the child after the regular babysitter—his girlfriend—went to work, admitted to smoking marijuana just minutes before the incident and later confessed to repeatedly punching German. This tragic case adds to the growing concern over child safety in the state.
