Donald Trump could be considering a pardon for Diddy. DEADLINE reports that the president is weighing the possibility of giving Sean Combs a full presidential pardon ahead of the convicted Bad Boy Records founder’s sentencing later this year. After nearly two months of trial, a New York jury acquitted the former music mogul of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but convicted him on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution.

A source claims to DEADLINE that the topic has gone from typical Trump posturing to an actionable move, since Combs was found partially guilty in his New York City sex-trafficking trial earlier this month. Of course, as a number of parties attest, this being the roller coaster of Trumpworld, any decision on a Combs pardon is in flux until POTUS actually puts his signature on paper.”

Back in May, Trump previously addressed the possibility of pardoning Combs. “Nobody’s asked” the president said. “But I know people are thinking about it. I know they’re thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking.” Trump added, “I haven’t spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot.”

Conservative media pundit Megyn Kelly spoke out on X (formerly Twitter) against the idea of Trump pardoning Diddy.

“He’s a Trump hater. He’s a woman abuser. MAGA is already upset over elites seeming to cover for each other. This would not help. GOP struggling w/young female voters, most of whom will HATE a Diddy pardon,” Kelly tweeted.

Trump made headlines in May, when he pardoned reality TV couple Todd and Julie Chrisley and NBA YoungBoy. Back in 2021, near the end of his first term, Trump pardoned Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.

This all comes amid increasing questions surrounding the president and the late accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Convicted Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell met with a top Department of Justice official in Florida on Friday, her lawyer said, as the president shared new details about his history with Epstein.

Diddy’s legal team is arguing for his release from federal prison as he awaits sentencing. His sentencing is set for October.
