Peter Nguyen Exchanges Words With American Airlines Flight Attendant After Being Accused Of Vaping
On August 4, an air hostess confronted Peter Nguyen during an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to San Francisco, according to PEOPLE. Nguyen shared a video on Instagram showing him and the flight attendant in a heated exchange after she caught him vaping in the plane’s bathroom. In the clip, the flight attendant told Nguyen he was doing something dangerous and demanded he stop smoking because she was worried about the passengers. “I was actually sitting on the toilet and you were opening the door,” Peter said in the clip.
Nguyen argued she was wrong to barge in while he was using the restroom, which made him record their confrontation. Though he apologized, the flight attendant tried to grab his phone to stop the recording. However, he quickly snapped back, saying she crossed the line. He then accused her of assault and kept filming as she tried to escort him back to his seat. He even went on to tell her that he was lawyer, so she was really in the wrong. “Did you just put your hands on me? She just put her hands on me. I have a lawyer, I am a lawyer,” he continued.
Peter Takes Accountability While American Airlines Speaks Out
Despite going viral for his exchange with the American Airlines hostess, Peter admitted he took “one puff” from the vape pen. But he said the whole situation has been causing him deep distress and hitting him emotionally, professionally, and financially. After sharing the video, he faced a lot of backlash but has insisted that that airlines don’t blacklist him or put him on the no-fly list.
American Airlines didn’t hold back — they spoke out and told PEOPLE that they removed Peter from the flight once it landed in San Francisco and apologized to customers for the inconvenience.
“A customer on American Airlines flight 2860 with service from Phoenix (PHX) to San Francisco (SFO) was removed from the aircraft upon arrival at SFO due to disruptive behavior. We thank our customers for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience,” the statement read.
