Week 6 of the federal criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs wrapped on Friday, June 20. The week was marked by jurors watching clips of Diddy’s now-infamous “freakoff” interactions for the first time. Additionally, issues with a Black juror led to their replacement with an older white male. Furthermore, the court was also shown receipts of the hotel stays, flight bookings, credit card receipts — everything used to facilitate Diddy’s alleged wild evenings. Lastly, Diddy’s alleged “drug mule,” Brendan Paul, took the stand, continuing the trial’s long list of explosive testimony.

Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is reflecting on the week with trial reporters Saràn Tarawaley and Jade Whiteside on ‘TSR Investigates.’

What Happened During Week Six 6 Of The Diddy Trial?

According to Tarawaley, the replacement of juror No. 6 caused a bit of “uproar” around the court proceedings. The juror initially alleged he lived in the Bronx. However, he later shared conflicting information, alleging he lived in New Jersey. Ultimately, Judge Arun Subramanian seemingly dismissed the juror to ensure the group’s integrity as they make their final decision on Diddy’s fate. The “uproar,” though, appeared to surround the court’s decision to replace the Black male with an older white male. Nonetheless, Judge Subramanian believes the jury will remain unbiased towards Diddy’s fate.

Ultimately, the week proceeded with a barrage of text messages shared in court. The messages dated back to Diddy’s romance with Cassie. Additionally, some appeared to paint the picture that their relationship and her participation in the freakoffs were consensual. Others detailed her frustration with the physical abuse she allegedly endured at Diddy’s hands.

What Else Was Shown In Court This Week?

Per Carter, a slew of hotel, flight, and bank records were also shown to the court. Specifically, some receipts backed witness claims of Diddy being charged thousands in damages to hotel rooms.

Scroll above to watch as the group breaks down some of these charges. Additionally, Attorney Justin Miller returns to give his breakdown of the racketeering charge against Diddy. Is the prosecution proving the charge? And how are they doing so?
