Week 4 of the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs wrapped on Friday, June 6. Notable highlights included a former Intercontinental hotel security guard alleging Diddy paid $100,000 for the security footage of him assaulting Cassie in March 2016. Additionally, the defense poked strong holes in the testimony of Bryana Bongolan, a friend of Cassie’s who alleged Diddy hung her from a 17-story balcony on one occasion. Lastly, the week marked the prosecution’s third sexual assault witness taking the stand, dropping explosive testimony against Diddy. “Jane Doe” says she was pressured into hotel nights with male sex workers as a $10,000 ultimatum was held above her head.
The prosecution is nearing the end of presenting its case. What has been established so far? And what can we expect moving forward?
Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is back with trial reporters Brianne Deville and Saràn Tarawaley. The trio is breaking it all down on ‘TSR Investigates.’
Here’s A Brief Recap Of The Testimony Of “Jane Doe” During Week 4 Of The Diddy Trial
Per Carter, “Jane Doe” is one of the last key witnesses for the prosecution. So far in her testimony, she established that her relationship with Diddy quickly grew from romance to freak-off-esque “hotel nights.” At some point in their relationship, Jane says, she and Diddy agreed to a “love contract.” She’d receive $10,000 from Diddy each month. Furthermore, Doe used the money to rent a home around the same price point. However, when she expressed her discomfort with the third-party hotel nights, Jane says Diddy threatened to take away the payments to secure her continued compliance.
“…As for the defense, what they’ve been arguing this whole time is that Diddy did do these things. They’re not arguing against his actions. What they are arguing against… is that the people who were around him were there for a reason,” Deville explained to Carter.
What Else Happened During Week 4? Can We Expect Moving Forward?
Former Intercontinental Hotel security guard Eddy Garcia also took the stand earlier this week after being granted immunity. Ultimately, Garcia testified to receiving $100,000 in exchange for the security footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in the hotel hallway in 2016.
Scroll above to watch as Carter, Deville, and Tarawaley recap Garcia’s testimony. Additionally, they recap the shocking moment when Judge Subramanian chastised Diddy for his facial expressions in court. Lastly, Attorney Justin Miller returns to explain why this behavior can threaten Diddy’s case.
