Starz’s new interview series Fat Joe Talks is off to an impressive start with Method Man, Omari Hardwick, and now King of Queens LL Cool J who dropped GOAT gems in a conversation premiering Friday, Oct. 18 at midnight on the streamer’s app.
“For me, it was a dream come true,” said Joe in an interview with NJ.com. “Since I was in elementary, I’ve always wanted to be on TV and be in Hollywood and I’ve been knocking on their doors forever, but finally someone opened up and said ‘come on in.’”
“I’ve always said I’m going to shock America,” he continued. “And that’s what I want to do. Every new week, I wanna give them something fresh, a new idea, something that comes from a different perspective, coming from a different lens, allowing you to be a fly in the wall to hear conversations you would never hear, seeing the greatest American icons, one after the other, just come up and tell their story.”
In the revealing interview, Hip-Hop icon/actor LL Cool J, 56, talks keeping his circle small, the birth of legendary label Def Jam Records, and the road to success while staying true to yourself.

With 40 years in the game, very few artists have thrived as long as LL Cool J who opened up about what’s next in his illustrious career.
“It’s about dreaming,” said the award-winning multi-hyphenate when asked what he thinks about his future. “Achieve that goal. Dream again. Achieve that goal. You know, apple trees don’t stop giving apples ’till they finish. Apple trees don’t say, ‘ah, I’m done. I’m just going to chill now and have green leaves with no fruit.’ Don’t work like that. You keep bearing fruit forever. We all on this journey, right? And the journey is really the reward.”
Keeping things authentic, LL and Fat Joe hit the streets of NY for more conversation that only two native NYers can have.
