For the last two days, Mr. Prada has gone from being known for his comedic TikTok skits to being involved in a cryptic police investigation. Dallas police arrested the 20-year-old social media personality on Tuesday (Oct. 1). Mr. Prada, real name Terryon Ishmael Thomas, is suspected of destroying a dead therapist’s property.

How Did The Therapist Die?

For context, William Nicholas Abraham reportedly suffered a “very physical, very violent death,” per Tangipahoa Sheriff Gerald Sticker. Authorities discovered the therapist’s body on Sunday (Sept. 29), wrapped in a tarp in Baton Rouge partially hidden alongside a highway. The 69-year-old’s death remains an open investigation, and police have not revealed a motive.

Here’s Why Police Arrested Mr. Prada

According to USA TODAY, Dallas police detained Terryon after Baton Rouge police revealed that the TikToker crashed Abraham’s car. He is reportedly facing charges of aggravated criminal property damage, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Surveillance security footage from a store later helped cops identify Mr. Prada as the driver of the therapist’s car. He had been at the shop purchasing items. Police reportedly attempted to pursue the influencer but claimed the 20-year-old kept driving, crashed the car and ran away. An officer later identified Terryon in a line-up, per USA TODAY.

USA TODAY reports that, as of Wednesday, Terryon Ishmael Thomas remained in jail without bond. His mugshot is below.

Therapist’s Lawyer Shuts Down Online Rumors

To be clear, Mr. Prada’s arrest is not yet connected to the therapist’s death. In fact, police have yet to reveal whether the 20-year-old and therapist knew each other — despite circulating narratives on social media that Abraham was the TikToker’s therapist.

Meanwhile, others speculated that Terryon was the 11-year-old who accused the therapist of inappropriate touching years ago. For context, cops temporarily detained William Nicholas Abraham in 2015 after the pre-teen accused the therapist of touching his “private parts.” He later posted a $25,000 bail. Ultimately, prosecutors dropped efforts to charge Abraham after they couldn’t prove the allegations “beyond a reasonable doubt.”

“While there was probable cause for an arrest, my office had to determine if the evidence supported our burden at trial, which is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. This matter was under review by my office for approximately two years. After considering all available evidence, the best interest of the child, and the lack of any inculpatory statements by the arrestee, we declined to institute formal charges,” district attorney Hillar said about the 2015 case.

Additionally, Abraham’s attorney, Jarrett Ambeau, has said Mr. Prada is “unequivocally not” the molestation accuser. He also said his client didn’t “deserve to die this way” as he was allegedly a “kind and gentle man.”
