Tina Knowles and Niecy Nash are just some celebrities who have reacted to President Biden‘s endorsement of his vice president, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 presidential election. As The Shade Room previously reported, the 46th president of the U.S. withdrew from the ongoing presidential race on Sunday, July 21.

Celebs Who Have Endorsed Kamala Harris In The 2024 Election: Tina Knowles

On Sunday, July 21, Tina Knowles took to her Instagram feed to share a photo of her and Harris standing side by side. Furthermore, in the photo’s caption, Knowles referred to Harris as having “New, Youthful, Sharp… energy.” The 70-year-old went on to add that President Biden “did what was best for the country” and put his “personal ego,” power, and fame to the side.

“That is the definition of a great leader… Thank you, President Biden for your service and your leadership . Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #kamala2024,” Knowles concluded in her caption.

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

On Sunday, July 21, Congresswoman Ocasio Cortez took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her reaction to President Biden’s endorsement of his VP. Additionally, the congresswoman appeared confident in Harris, declaring that she “will be the next President of the United States.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on to pledge her “full support to ensure her victory in November.”

Before concluding, the congresswoman seemingly shared a message for the Democratic party and the country.

“Now more than ever, it is crucial that our party and country swiftly unite to defeat Donald Trump and the threat to American democracy. Let’s get to work,” she wrote.

Andrea King & Martin Luther King III

On Sunday evening, the son of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Martin III, took to X to share his and his wife, Andrea’s, endorsement of Harris.

The couple’s joint statement explained that they believe Harris will “shatter a significant glass ceiling by becoming the first Black woman and first South Asian nominee from a major party for President.”

Additionally, the couple stated that Harris “embodies Dr. King’s legacy,” and the country “needs someone who advocates for a fairer, more inclusive America.”

U.S. Secretary Of Transportation Pete Buttigieg

Furthermore, the 19th U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, endorsed Harris in a photo posted on Instagram.

In the picture, Buttigieg and Harris can be seen sitting side by side. In the caption, the secretary wrote, “Joe Biden has earned his place among the best and most consequential presidents in our history… Kamala Harris is now the right person to take up the torch, defeat Donald Trump, and succeed Joe Biden as President…” 

Buttigieg explained that Harris has “extraordinary leadership,” and added that he will do “all” he can “to help her win this election to lead America forward as our next President.”

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande didn’t share a lengthy message alongside her endorsement of President Biden’s vice president, Kamala Harris. However, on Sunday, she took to her Instagram Story to re-post a photo shared by President Biden of them walking side by side. In the caption of that photo, Biden previously shared his endorsement of Harris.

Furthermore, alongside her photo, Grande shared a link for the public to register to vote.

Niecy Nash

Like Grande, actor Niecy Nash was also brief but firm in her presidential endorsement of VP Harris. On Sunday, Nash also took to her Instagram Story to share a brief message showcasing her support for Harris.

“Yes. We. Kam,” Nash wrote.

To note, Nash publicly supported Harris following her election to vice president in 2020.

Governor of California, Gavin Newsom

Governor Gavin Newsom also took to X on Sunday to share his endorsement for VP Harris. In a short message, Newsom started with the words, “Tough. Fearless. Tenacious,” seemingly describing Harris.

Then he stated that the country’s democracy is “at stake” with its “future on the line.”

no one is better to prosecute the case against Donald Trump’s dark vision and guide our country in a healthier direction than America’s Vice President, @KamalaHarris,” he concluded.

D.L. Hughley

On Sunday, comedian D.L. Hughley took to Instagram to share a video of himself alongside Harris. In the clip, the comedian and Harris are seen discussing her “economic opportunity tour.” In the caption of the video, Hughley explained that he “like a lot of people had preconceived opinions about [Harris] PRIOR to actually meeting her and spending real time with her.” 

However, he wants the public to know that”not all of our conversations were in agreement, but…” they  “changed” his “perspective on her as a leader.”

The comedian concluded by pleging his full support to Harris.

“I fully offer my support to @vp @kamalaharris and have full confidence in her ability to lead this country! #TeamDL” he concluded.

How Is VP Kamala Harris Doing After President Biden’s Endorsement?

As The Shade Room previously reported, VP Harris has spoken out since Biden’s presidential endorsement of her on Sunday, July 21. In a statement, Harris explained that she is eager to win the Democratic party’s nomination.

Additionally, she shared that she plans to do “everything” in her “power” to unite the party and ultimately “unite the nation,” and she strives to win the election.

Meanwhile, ActBlue, a nonprofit organization that handles “fundraising platform for campaigns,” took to X on Sunday evening to share that Harris’ presidential campaign raised over $46 million since its launch.

On Monday, July 22, Fox 35 Orlando reported that Harris’ campaign spoke exclusively with the outlet, explaining that the campaign now sits at over $49 million.
