Week 5 of the federal criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs wrapped on Friday, June 13. The week: filled with more explosive testimony from “Jane Doe,” a woman who dated Diddy between 2021 and 2024. Jane shared more details about her romance with Diddy. In week four, she noted their “hotel nights,” which included sex with third-party male escorts. In week five, she shared that she and Diddy allegedly took things up a notch from there, advancing to “all-star parties,” which included multiple males. Additionally, Jane detailed Diddy’s alleged coercion of her into the sexual acts, sharing more details about him allegedly threatening to withhold her “love-contracted” rent money. Ultimately, Jane even alleged that their relationship, and her jealousy of his multiple partners, exploded into a physical assault.

Elsewhere in the week, the judge denied the defense’s second request for a mistrial. Meanwhile, a celebrity guest made a surprise appearance in Jane’s testimony — and at court. Lastly, the defense heavily pushed back on Jane’s testimony, sharing evidence of her apparent consent in the alleged events.

Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is reflecting on the week with trial reporters Brianne Deville and Saràn Tarawaley on ‘TSR Investigates.’

What Else Did “Jane Doe” Share In Week 5 Of The Diddy Trial?

Per Tarawaley, Jane’s testimony was marked by moments where she recounted the good in her romance with Diddy. For example, she shared that he allegedly gifted her $20,000 to assist with her online boutique business while paying $10,000 in rent for her home. To the public’s surprise, Jane even shared that to date, Diddy is still not only paying her rent but also paying her lawyer fees.

“She’s been seen on the stand, very, very emotional,” Deville explained to Carter. “…She’s definitely had a bit of a tug of war, especially with the defense. There were a couple of moments where she couldn’t really answer their questions, but she might come back with a quick comeback, and the judge kind of had to regroup…”

Per Carter, messages were shared in which Jane shared her frustration with Diddy for allegedly making her participate in the sexual acts. Additionally, messages were also shared where Jane appeared to be happily engaging.

“It was definitely a complex character,” Taraweley explained, however, noting that Jane appeared to voice her frustration often and openly to Diddy — a contrast she notes from Cassie’s previous testimony.

Was There Coercion? Or Was There Consent?

According to Carter, Jane shared that 90% of the time, she was “forced” into her and Diddy’s hotel nights. Per Deville, the defense argued otherwise. Ultimately, the team poked major holes in Jane’s testimony.

Scroll above to watch as the trio break down the defense’s evidence. Additionally, Deville shares whether she believes the defense is strengthening their case. Lastly, Attorney Justin Miller returns. He shares what he thinks may be the major question the jury must decide after it’s all said and done.
