Jeremy Fancher & Destiny Campos Charged For 4-Month-Old Daughter Reportedly Being Found Deceased In Hotel Drawer
According to Law & Crime, Fancher and Campos were staying at the Days Inn & Suites when first responders were called to the location on May 26, 2024. Furthermore, the pair’s infant was reportedly found unresponsive inside a drawer. Per the criminal complaint, EMS workers attempted to perform life-saving measures on the infant. Despite this, Brookelyn was pronounced deceased at 1:11 p.m.
Furthermore, Campos informed police that she and Fancher had been staying at the hotel since September 2023. Additionally, she noted they were staying there with their 18-month-old son. Campos alleged Fancher complained about their daughter’s “screams… piercing” his ears. Additionally, she alleged Fancher would place the infant inside the drawer, “stuffing a towel” around her to prevent the infant from kicking the drawer open. That morning, Campos alleged she woke up to Fancher not being inside the hotel room. Then, when he returned, she asked him about the whereabouts of the infant, and they opened the drawer to find that Brookelynn “wasn’t moving.”
Per the complaint, a housekeeper at the hotel found the infant in the drawer on multiple occasions. Additionally, the housekeeper reported it to management and Campos, who allegedly laughed about the matter.
More Details On The Charges Against The Texas Parents
Per the outlet, on Friday, June 20, Campos was taken into custody. Additionally, she was charged with murder. Furthermore, on Saturday, June 21, Fancher reportedly faced the same fate. According to PEOPLE, Campos’ mother told the press that her daughter and Fancher had been “living their lives like nothing ever happened.” To note, she reportedly explained that her daughter was pregnant with a girl again, and said it would “replace” the “one [she] lost.”
“They should’ve been charged with the drugs at the scene and held on those charges until the homicide charges were ready,” she reportedly added, alleging they had methamphetamine at the scene. “… I don’t want to speak to her. I don’t have anything to say to her because when I seen her, she didn’t cry. She didn’t show remorse losing her child. And that bothers me.”
At this time, Francher’s bail has been set at $850,000. Meanwhile, Campos’ bail has been set at $250,000, with her next court appearance scheduled on July 30.
Per USA Today, forensics determined the 4-month-old passed away due to suffocation. Meanwhile, KFYR-TV reports that the parents’ oldest child is now living with Campos’ mother.
A Man In Florida Has Been Sentenced For His Alleged Actions Toward The 2-Year-Old
