Lyndell Price, the former co-owner of the now-closed Turkey Leg Hut, was hit with federal arson charges on Friday, April 25, for allegedly orchestrating a fiery plot to burn down his former business partner’s bar in Houston. Authorities have reportedly arrested Price in connection with the 2020 explosion.

Former Turkey Leg Hut Co-Owner Charged In 2020 Houston Bar Fire
Lyndell Price appeared in court alongside Armani Williams and John Lee Price on charges of conspiracy to commit arson and using interstate means to torch a car, per ABC 13. Lyndell Price allegedly paid Armani and John to set Bar 5015 ablaze in June 2020, sparking a massive fire explosion. The bar, owned by Steve Rogers, Lyndell’s former business partner and Turkey Leg Hut co-owner, consequently burned to the ground.
Additionally, Lyndell Price is accused of paying both men to set a stolen car on fire in an unrelated incident. The trio is now facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted, with Price taken into a federal detention center without bond. Lyndell’s next court date is scheduled for Thursday, May 1. Meanwhile, Williams and Price were released pending their next hearing.
Cops suspect that the motive behind the alleged attack on Bar 5015 was over the former business partners’ bad blood. Rogers had been suing Price and his estranged wife, Nakia Holmes, over financial disputes related to their former restaurant empire, per Click 2 Houston.

Houston Health Department Shuts Down Turkey Leg Hut
In September 2024, the Houston Health Department handed Turkey Leg Hut 35 violations that had posed a “threat to public health” following an investigation. Inspectors identified a lengthy list of issues at the establishment, including pest control problems, improper food storage, and ventilation concerns, among many others. The Turkey Leg Hut attempted to spin the closure as an opportunity for “exciting renovations.” The company announced on Instagram that it would be closed to “enhance your experience.” But the health department ordered the company to remain closed until it resolves all issues and completes a follow-up investigation. The Turkey Leg Hut has remained closed ever since.
