Chicago rapper Polo G was arrested after a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles led to police allegedly finding a firearm in his vehicle.
Back in April, Polo G was arrested in New York City after being arrested on criminal possession of a firearm after hotel staff at the Dominick Hotel allegedly found a gun left behind on a loveseat in his room and alerted authorities. When police arrived they located a Glock with a bullet in the chamber and nine additional rounds in the magazine.
Now, according to TMZ, Polo G has experienced his second gun arrest of 2024. The outlet reports that over the weekend, the rapper was stopped by police for speeding and found a gun after searching his car. After the discovery, police booked Polo G for felony possession of a concealed weapon. KTLA reports that it’s his second firearm arrest in California after a raid turned up a short-barrel rifle in 2023.
The raid stemmed from his brother allegedly robbing another rapper, and police records show Polo is still behind bars likely due to his previous arrests.
Polo’s Hood Poet Tour is scheduled to kick off Thursday in Denver, but as of now, it seems it may have hit a roadblock courtesy of the LAPD.
