Bow Wow is under fire for his comments about Sean “Diddy” Combs following his recent arrest.
During a recent appearance on the More To The Story podcast with Rocsi Diaz, Bow Wow admitted that he misses the same parties Combs has been arrested for in connection with sex crimes charges.
“It seems unreal at times,” Bow Wow said on Monday. “Me and Jermaine [Dupri] spoke about and I was like, ‘I never thought we would see him in this position. Ever.’ He’s like the gatekeeper to the game.”
The 37-year-old went on to complain that he had nowhere to go after the BET Awards back in June because of Combs not throwing his infamous parties.
“The past two, they just didn’t feel right ’cause there was no motion, there was no parties, there was nowhere to go,” Bow Wow said.
Diaz followed up by clarifying that the rapper was referring to Diddy’s post-award show parties, which are supposedly separate from the “freak-offs” mentioned in the disgraced music mogul’s indictment.
“It’s like, he was the guy that every young hustler looked up to,” Bow said about Diddy. “Like, he just makes me…. He just stepped your hustle game up, you know what I mean? So it’s sad and it’s messed up that we got to witness this in this time. But it’s f***ed up. Oh, absolutely, 100%, [I got to sympathize for his kids, too].”
In response to his comments, fans had no sympathy for Bow Wow going through party withdrawals, taking to social media to discuss his outrageous admission.
As one user on X pointed out, a lot of celebrities might feel the same way, though many of them wouldn’t be “tone deaf” enough to admit it in an interview.
These comments from Bow Wow come as Combs’ legal team pushed back against the Texas attorney who hit the Bad Boy founder with a stack of new lawsuits, brushing off Tony Buzbee as a lawyer seeking attention.
“The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity,” Diddy’s attorneys said in a statement to TMZ. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
This is in response to Buzbee filing six lawsuits against Combs on Monday, each accusing him of sexual assault.
