Despite social media conspiracy theories YFN Lucci’s lawyer says he is alive. well and counting down the days until he’s home.
Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci has spent the majority of his time in jail since the turn of the new decade. In early 2021 Lucci was arrested and faced a minimum of life in prison and his fate seemed all but sealed. However, Lucci took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to gang charges stemming from a fatal shooting in 2020.
Thanks to a support letter from DA Fani Willis his plea deal only required him to serve just over three years while counting the time he’s been behind bars. This positions his release date right around the corner in January 2025.
According to TMZ while 650 Luc is counting down to his return home social media is writing fan fantasy he was killed in jail.
Luckily YFN Lucci hired million-dollar lawyer Drew Findling who knows how internet games well and confirmed the rapper is alive and well. TMZ suggests it was a weird play on Rich Homie Quan’s death in an attempt to force engagement. In this generation of the internet, nothing is surprising but wishing death on someone should be off the table.
However, you can rest assured Lucci is ok and on pace to retrieve his freedom this January.
